Taking Care of Our Own in Heber-Overgaard

What started as a Christmas gift, a Three Amigos patch worn by Jack Yaw, Terry Rutherford, and Phil Williams on their motorcycle vests riding through the White Mountains, has grown into a network of neighbors and businesses committed to giving back.

Based in Heber-Overgaard and serving the surrounding areas, Amigos Brotherhood Charities is all about supporting veterans, kids, and local causes through hands-on work, events, and just showing up when it matters.

We don’t run this from some office. We live in this little piece of heaven in the White Mountains. We know the people, we see the needs, and we step in where we can. Every dollar raised, every ticket sold, and every partnership goes right back into this community.

Through our Freedom Gathering poker run and other efforts, we support groups like the Children's Organ Transplant Organization (COTA), the Heber-Overgaard Children's Christmas Party, and American Legion Post 30. And sometimes, we just help neighbors quietly when life throws them a curveball.

Our weekly podcast is an extension of that. It’s real conversations with local people, business owners, and folks who are part of what’s happening around HeberOvergaard and the surrounding areas.

At the end of the day, our mission is simple. Show up. Take care of our own.

With the support of local businesses, volunteers, and people who believe in what we’re doing, this has grown into something bigger than we ever expected—but it’s still rooted in the same friendships that started it.
